I’m not sure how it all began exactly…

As a child, I gazed at the wonders of the world in the pages of books. I ran wild in woodlands and meadows, and climbed endless trees. I never adapted to the confines of social structure.

I lived in my imagination, and, as long as I can remember, I yearned to adventure in faraway lands. At age 50, I finally turned those childhood dreams into reality.

I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery, air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.’”
